NEGR - Northeast Girls Recruiting

Prep Profiles: Tilton School

Coach Tara Brisson returns for her 11th year as head coach at Tilton. Over the last 10 seasons, Coach Brisson’s squad has compiled an overall record of 201-52, winning 9 Lakes Region Championships, as well as 5 NEPSAC Championships in the last 8 years. The 2018-19 season was Tilton’s second season competing in Class A. Prior to Tilton, Coach Brisson coached at Williams College for two seasons, reaching the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, as well as at Saint Anselm’s College for two seasons.

Key Returners:
Liza Field – Liza is a returning junior, step-out post with the ability to hurt you with her back to the basket game or facing up. She had a great spring and summer on the AAU circuit earning several scholarship offers. She will carry that momentum over into our season.

Sophie George – Sophie had a breakout season for us last year and I only expect her confidence and play to move to a higher level in her sophomore year. She will be relied on heavily with her experience and poise.

Aislinn McMahon – The junior shooting guard made huge strides over the summer to become one of the most consistent shooters in the NEPSAC every time she steps on the floor. Her ability to score along with her consistent toughness will help our team immensely through our tough schedule.

Jaelyn Miles – The sophomore post player was super focused in the offseason entering this season in the best shape of her playing career. She is a force in the paint and expect her physicality and toughness to control the inside.

We have 6 new players this season who are all expected to make a significant contribution to the team. Alyssa Moreland ’22, Tasha Lima ’21, Kat Mansaray ’20, Ekin Celikdemir ’20, Aislinn Gibson ’23, and Jaxson Nadeau ‘20 will each have a vital role in our quest for a Class A NEPSAC Championship.

In Tilton’s third year competing in Class A, they will look to obtain their first-ever Class A Championship in Tilton School girls’ basketball history, along with their 10th Lakes Region Championship in 11 years. They face a tough schedule as their biggest games are always against their cross-town rival, New Hampton School. Over the past couple of years, Tilton has developed a great relationship with Nobles, Rivers, Tabor, Proctor, Worcester, & Marianapolis.

Coach Tara Brisson
“To get better everyday, to never waste an opportunity and to accomplish our goals. My expectation is that we battle through adversity and find a way to give our very best each practice and each game.”
