NEGR - Northeast Girls Recruiting

Prep Profiles: Holderness School

The 2019-2020 season is Coach Arsenault’s fourth season leading the Holderness Girls’ Varsity Basketball program. The team prides itself on playing tough and unselfish basketball. Holderness is coming off back-to-back NEPSAC Championships and is excited to be joining the super-competitive NEPSAC Class C. Holderness competes as part of the Lakes Region League and every year we play a very challenging schedule. This year the team has some very important games against New Hampton (AA), Tilton (A), Phillips Andover (A), Saint Paul’s (A), Sacred Heart (A), Proctor (B), and a tough slate of Class C games. After finishing last year with a 15-9 record and a NEPSAC Championship the team is determined to earn a spot in the 2019-2020 NEPSAC Class C tournament.

Key returners who are determined to play at the next level.

5’5” PG Emilija Jakumaite 2020 – Emilija, a senior from Lithuania, is a two-time captain and the heartbeat of the team. Her high basketball IQ, court vision, and deadly change of speed make her very challenging to guard.

5’4” SG Macy Arsenault 2020 – Macy is a four-year starter and two-time captain. She is not only a lights-out shooter but is the most physical player on the team. Her attention to detail makes her the glue that holds any lineup together.

5’8” SF Grace Farley 2022 – Grace is fiercely competitive and willing to take on any matchup on the floor. She is a crafty lefty who goes hard to the basket and hard to the glass. She always increases the level of intensity on the floor.

Key incoming players who will be big contributors.

5’11” PF Shinya Lee 2021 - Shinya is from Rochester, NY and has multiple scholarship offers. She brings much-needed length to the team. Shinya contest every shot, battles for every rebound and has a nice set of post moves in her repertoire.

5’11” SG Rachel Storey 2022 - Rachel was a New York all-star and led her team to a Championship. She has a great sense of the game and not only is a top-notch shooter but also can take her defender off the dribble.

5’10” SF Lianmarie Aviles 2023 - Lian is a member of the Puerto Rican U16 Team. On defense, Lian has the length to contest shots and on offense, she stretches defenses with range well beyond the arc.
