Coach Jennifer Harris returns for her 11th season at the helm of the Greens Farms Academy Girl’s Basketball Program. Harris’s squad posted a 15-9 record in the 2018-19 season after losing in the first round of the playoffs. GFA posted some key wins last year vs. Hamden Hall, Miss Halls, Hotchkiss School, School of the Holy Child, Kingswood Oxford, and Greenwich Academy. In addition, GFA had 2 FAA All-League players, 1 FAA All-League Honorable Mention, 2 NEPSAC All-Stars, a 1,000 point scorer, and won the Westover Tournament.
Returning this year for Greens Farms Academy is Georgia Grabowski, who is the only returning starter from last year’s team. She is confident shooting from behind the arc as well as attacking the rim. She will be bringing leadership and the most minutes played from any returner. Elyse Kimball is the lone senior and 4 year varsity player on the roster. She is a defensive stopper for the opponent’s best guard. Kimball brings grit, determination, and the desire to fight to each and every game. Caroline McCall is a returning junior guard that is extremely consistent on both ends. She will bring a sense of calm to the team. Marygrace DelliSanti is a returning forward for this team that is extremely strong and determined. She will fight until the final buzzer and will never get pushed off the ball.
Joining Greens Farms Academy this season are Sheridan Oberhand, LyNeta Brand, Gigi Morgan, and Alex Modzelewski. Additionally, Coach Harris added Allie Palmieri, a current junior with a verbal commit to Boston College. She has joined the team and will be playing as a multi-faceted guard for the team. She is able to hit from behind the arc with ease and provides a certain tenacity on the defensive end. Coach Harris’s expectations are to qualify for both the FAA and New England Playoffs. They face some tough games vs. Rye Country Day, St. Luke’s, Hotchkiss, Hopkins, Greenwich Academy, and Hamden Hall.
Head Coach Jennifer Harris
“This team is young but talented. We have pressed the reset button as far as culture and expectations, but so far, the athletes are responding. Though they are young, their goals are high, and they are determined to meet them."
