The Insider Exposure – New England Exposure Showcase took place Saturday, October 20th at The Wheeler School. The showcased featured players from the 2019-2024 classes. The day was filled with a skills session, Q & A session, and an afternoon comprised of 5-on-5 full court games.

Class of 2019
Diamond Christian • 5’5 • Pos: PG • Pennington School/Gauchos – Christian does a good job of denying when one pass away on the defensive end and getting in the passing lanes. She cleans the glass well for her position and pushes the ball in transition. Christian has a plus handle.
Sydney Cummings • 5’10 • Pos: F • St. Luke’s/CT Impact – Cummings seals well in the post and keeps her defender on her back. She makes strong back to the basket moves. Cummings has a solid handle for a big and can push the ball herself off defensive boards and can attack off the dribble from the perimeter. She is a good passer off penetration and out of the post.
Jenissa Encarnacion • 5’6 • Pos: PG/G • Roselle Catholic/Team Miller Lightning – Encarnacion is a combo guard with a good handle. She moves well without the ball and looks to find her open teammates within the half court offense.
Yaritza Lara • 5’6 • Pos: G • Lincoln/Rivals – Lara has good form from midrange and is a consistent rhythm shooter. She is an active defender on and off the ball.
Kalkidan Mamo • 5’7 • Pos: PG/G • Cambridge Rindge & Latin/Cape Cod Bulls – Mamo has active hands as an on-ball defender and can pick the ball handler’s pocket. She pushes the ball in transition off steals and attacks the hoop strong. Mamo has great court vision within the half court offense and is unselfish.
Ashley Wilson • 5’7 • Pos: G • Norwalk/NY Hoopers – Wilson is a knock down shooter from 3 who does a good job of getting her feet set before the catch. She runs the floor hard in transition and gets to her spots.

Jannise Avelino • 5’10 • Pos: F • St. Mary’s/Rivals – Avelino works hard on the glass on both ends of the floor. She makes strong outlet passes and then runs the floor hard in transition.
Taylor Bailey • 5’7 • Pos: PG • Newton North/New England Panthers – Bailey has a plus handle and is calm with ball pressure. She is super athletic and has good timing on the defensive end of the floor. Bailey has a solid pull-up jumper that she can knock down consistently along with the ability to post up smaller defenders. She is a strong rebounder for her position and pushes the ball off boards.
Portia Batistine • 5’0 • Pos: PG/G • Lawrence/Rivals – Batistine creates space for her stepback jumper and has smooth form from 3. She is a confident shooter even when the defense contests her shots well. When she doesn’t have the ball, she is a very unselfish passer. On the defensive end, Batistine is capable of pressuring the ball the length of the court. She’s very active on and off the ball within the half court defense and pushes the ball off steal. Batistine communicates extremely well with her teammates on both ends of the floor.
Shamoni Berrios • 5’7 • Pos: G/F • Maria Regina/Empire State – Berrios crashes the boards hard on both ends of the floor. She is capable of playing inside-out on the offensive end.
Megan Bodziony • 5’10 • Pos: G • St. Andrew’s-RI/Rivals – Bodziony is a lefty who showed her ability to impact the game in multiple ways. She is capable of scoring on all 3 levels with a soft touch around the rim, an effective midrange game, and a consistent 3 point shot. Bodziony has excellent court vision has she finds her teammates before the play happens in transition and within the half court offense. She is a strong rebounder and can finish in traffic with contact.
Asya Brandon • 5’2 • Pos: G • Hamden/Springfield Ballers – Brandon is a small guard that has a solid handle. She has good court vision and is capable of attacking both right and left.
Aaliyah Forman • 5’10 • Pos: G/F • Bishop Guertin/Rivals – Forman is a strong rebounder in traffic and rips boards down on both ends of the floor. She attacks the hoop strong from the perimeter and can finish in traffic, not afraid of contact. Forman has a plus handle and is able to break her defender down and beat her off the dribble.
Piath Gabriel • 6’4 • Pos: F/C • Bradford Christian Academy/Rivals – Gabriel seals well in the post, cuts hard off the ball, and shows her target. She makes strong back to the basket moves both right and left, finishes high off the glass, and has a soft touch around the rim.
Rosheda Guthrie • 5’7 • Pos: PG/G • Springfield Central/Springfield Ballers – Guthrie is an aggressive on-ball defender with quick and active hands and feet. She pushes the ball off turnovers and looks to get to the rim.
Jordan Hue • 5’6 • Pos: PG/G • Tabor Academy/Bay State Jaguars – Hue is an aggressive on-ball defender who has good lateral quickness. She keeps the ball handler in front of her and has active hands to try to get tips.
Janelle Johnson • 5’9 • Pos: G • St. Luke’s/CT Impact – Johnson looks to push the ball in transition and get it ahead of the backpedaling defense. She has the ability to get to the rim at will and finish both right and left with contact. Johnson also showed her ability to step out and knock down the 3 with good form.
Maya Johnson • 5’9 • Pos: G • Robbinsville/Jersey Warriors – Johnson has a solid midrange jumper within the half court offense. She crashes the boards on both ends of the floor.
Destiny Jordan • 5’9 • Pos: G/F • Manchester Central/BDS – Jordan works hard on the boards on both ends of the floor and pushes the ball in transition. She attacks the hoop strong and can finish with contact. With the ability to play inside-out, Jordan also demonstrated her ability to knock down the 3-ball. On the defensive end of the floor, she was more than capable of defending multiple positions.
Belle Lanpher • 5’4 • Pos: PG • Wachusett/Rivals – Lanpher is a strong rebounder for her size and position. She has a plus handle that allows her to beat her defender off the dribble on a consistent basis. When she attacks, Lanpher has a soft touch on her floater and can finish against taller opponents.
Jaelyn Lavigne • 5’11 • Pos: G/F • Bradford Christian Academy/Rivals – Lavigne is capable of playing inside-out. Already physically strong, she cleans the glass well on both ends of the floor. Lavigne can initiate the break herself off defensive boards with the ability to make long outlet passes. She attacks the hoop strong within the half court offense with the ability to finish both right and left. Lavigne also showed her vision off penetration with her finding open shooters and cutters.
Madison Mandalinci • 5’7 • Pos: PG/G • Pingree/Rivals – Mandalinci is a combo guard that is capable of scoring on all 3 levels. She can attack the basket and finish with both hands. Mandalinci also demonstrated her ability to be a knockdown shooter as she has excellent footwork prior to the shot with a quick release.
Alecia Maxwell • 6’2 • Pos: F/C • Springfield Central/Springfield Ballers – Maxwell is a more traditional post player who looks to post up and keep her defender on her back. She makes strong back to the basket moves and is a solid and consistent rebounder on both ends of the floor.
Jasmine McDuffie • 5’11 • Pos: G/F • Manchester/PlayHerz – McDuffie is capable of playing inside-out and is a strong rebounder. She’s a versatile defender with her length.
Sharon Pongnon • 5’11 • Pos: F/C • Buckingham Browne & Nichols/New England Panthers – Pongnon has good form from 3 and is also capable of attacking off the dribble from the perimeter. She finishes high off the glass and will kick the ball out when the defense collapses.
Sofia Riccio • 5’7 • Pos: G • Pinkerton Academy/SNH Saints – Riccio demonstrated her ability to attack the hoop strong and finish both right and left. She can initiate the break herself off a defensive board or steal and looks to get the ball ahead of the transitioning defense. Riccio is a very unselfish player.
Leilani Rodriguez • 5’5 • Pos: PG/G • Worcester Academy/Rivals – Rodriguez has a plus handle with strong court vision. She is capable of scoring on all 3 levels. On the defensive end, Rodriguez is an active defender on and off the ball.
Rachel Romich • 5’9 • Pos: G • Bradford Christian Academy/Rivals – Romich is a more than capable 3 point shooter who does a good job of reading the defense. When they fly at her, she is capable of knocking down a one-dribble pull-up jumper or attacking the hoop.
Kaylee Smith • 5’7 • Pos: G • Bishop Brady/BDS – Smith is a super confident shooter with a quick release. She has excellent footwork prior to her catches that allow her to get her shot off from anywhere on the court.
Miracle Smith • 5’1 • Pos: G • Newton South/New England Panthers – Smith is an aggressive and active on-ball defender. On the offensive end, she has a quick release from 3.
